Farm gate experiences

Did you know that you can find a little piece of Sicily in New South Wales. Australia has a thriving walnut and chestnut industry which has been delighting the Italian, Sicilian and Korean community of Sydney for years.
There are farms within an easy drive of Sydney where you can take an autumnal stroll through nut groves and gather edible souvenirs of your visit.

I didn't know that chestnuts grew in Australia- I think I'm going to learn all sorts of things through the Learning 2.0 project

Welcome to Learning 2.0. As Solana says there is a lot of learning going on.
Hope you enjoy the program.

Yum! I love chestnuts: chestnut trees, roasted chestnuts, chestnuts puree. Thanks for the info - will have to check it out!

I love nuts! I read somewhere that you're supposed to eat 8 nuts a day for good health. Now, where are these farms?
